Piano Teachers
Samira is the Houston School of Music's primary piano teacher. Samira Noorali has been an active musician for the past 16 years. Beginning as a young student of Patricia Duke, her skills in classical piano performance started to flourish as early as the age of 5. At the age of 17, she was named the official pianist for the Young American Ismaili Symphonic Orchestra, and eventually, served as the director of the organization. Growing up with a burgeoning love of music and the arts, Samira assumed to master another musical skill in addition to piano, namely, classical voice. Samira’s well-rounded understanding of vocal styles can be attributed to her instructors- Walter Farrell, Dr. Keenan Manceaux and finally Eric Bruner. For the past four years, she has partnered these proficiencies with a passion for teaching people of all ages. Whether you are a beginner or advanced student, she can help you learn better music reading, basic piano improvisation (playing by ear) and even basic songwriting skills. Most importantly, Samira will make learning to play the piano and enjoyable journey!
Although Eric primarily teaches voice at the Houston School of Music, he also accepts a limited number of piano students who wish to study advanced keyboard harmonies, improvisation, playing "by ear", and chord playing.
