Dave
is one of Houston School of Music's Master Teachers. Involved
in music since the age of six, Percussion Artist David Hillendahl has
appeared in hundreds of venues from coast to coast performing everything
from classical symphony and opera to rock n' roll. Spending an
unprecedented eight seasons touring with major Broadway productions, he
was recognized as Most Valuable Musical Artist on New York's Great White
Way in 1982. He's played for some of the most memorable musicals of
all time including Godspell, The Music Man, Showboat, and Jesus Christ
Superstar. Highly respected as a teacher, Mr. Hillendahl has been on
the faculty of The Victoria College and has presented numerous clinics and
demonstrations to school-age children throughout the United States.
In addition, Mr. Hillendahl is a facilitator of drum circles and a
practitioner of Rhythm Therapy. His programs have received national
recognition for their positive outcomes in children and adults with
specific learning disabilities.
